Herbert Clark Fisher, Sr.

Herbert Clark Fisher, Sr., 87, of Marlinton, WV passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at home in Marlinton.

Born June 2, 1925 at Huntersville, he was a son of the late Herbert Gilmore and Verdie Blanch Virginia Kincaid Fisher.

Herbert attended Huntersville School, was a self-employed carpenter, a member of Victory Chapel Advent Church, was a WWII Army Veteran, and was a member of the VFW.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother O. D. Fisher and sibling twins that died at birth.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon Ann Hannah Fisher; daughters, Kim Hammer & husband John of McDowell, VA and Lisa Fisher of Ohio; two sons, Herbert C. Fisher, Jr. and wife Angela of Bartow, WV and Harry H. Fisher of Green Bank, WV; five grandchildren, Paige Dakota Fisher, Kaitlyn Nicole Wilfong, Crystal Dawn Hammer, John Brett Hammer, and Grace Elizabeth Fisher; and three great grandchildren, Zachary Lindsay, Patricia Lindsay and Nathaniel Hammer. 

Military graveside services with the Pocahontas County Honor Corp. will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Arbovale Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Puffenbarger officiating.
 
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale.
