Edward "Coon" Hise
May. 3, 1931 - Aug. 6, 2012
Mr. Hise was born May 3, 1931 at Red Oak Knob, VA and was the son of the late Andrew Clay and Viola Virginia Washburn Hise
Coon was an avid fisherman and hunter; loved to watch and read westerns and MASH 4077; he had been a timber cutter, he had worked for Howe’s Leather Company, Interstate Hardwoods and finished his career with the U.S. Forestry Service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Callie Mable “Tick” Starks Hise; several sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane Morris of Frank and Holly Gochenour of Mt. Sidney, VA; sons, Tim Morris of Thornwood, Ray Hise of Thornwood and Clay Hise and wife Laura of Dunmore; sisters, Irene “Bink: Pingley of Warren, OH and Mary Louise “Honeybee” Hise of Waynesboro, VA; brother, Clellan Clay “Hoppy” Hise of Bartow; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel in Arbovale, with Rev. Paul Murdock officiating. Burial will follow in the Arbovale Cemetery.
Family will receive family and friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at the Funeral Home
