Madeline Callison

Madeline Callison, 94, of Springdale-Dawson Road,  Meadow Bridge, went home to be with her Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ, peacefully during her sleep just after midnight on Thursday, February 28, 2013.
Born July 8, 1918, on Hump Mtn., above Sandstone, she was the daughter of the late Robert Harvey and
Sally Ann Mitchell Fox.  She graduated from Sandstone High School and was a faithful member of
Meadow Grove Baptist Church of Dawson, West Virginia, for all her adult life.  In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband, George Turner Callison, in 1979, two brothers, James
Raymond  and Robert Woodrow Fox, and a granddaughter, Melanie Ruth Callison.
Left to cherish her memory  are  2 sons: George Robert Callison & wife Drema of New Bern, NC
                                                              Paul Turner Callison of the home in Meadow Bridge, WV
                                                          1 daughter: Sue Ann Callison Wheeler of Forestville, MD
                                                Adopted granddaughter: Lisa Callison Ramirez  & husband Selvin of Laurel, MD
                                                            Twin granddaughters: Connie and Kasandra Callison of Grassy Meadows
                                                          1 grandson: George Gregory Callison and wife Gina of Ramseur, NC
                                                              Great-granddaughter: Madeline Carol Callison of New Bern, NC
                                                              Great-grandson: Logan Gregory Callison  of New Bern, NC
                                                          One niece: Geneva Fox Pishner of Beaver
                                                          Numerous nieces and nephews on husband’s side of family

Service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 4, 2013 at Meadow Grove Baptist Church,  Dawson, with

Pastor Vince Deeds, assisted by Rev. Bill Ferguson.  Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery,

Clintonville, WV.  Viewing and visitation with family and friends  will be at the church one hour prior to the

Service (10 -11 AM).  The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to all the caregivers of their

Mother over the past several years.  In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy in honor of Mrs. Callison

may be made to Meadow Grove Baptist Church, c/o Drema Helmick, Rt. 2 Box 147 W, Alderson, WV 24910
